One of the outcomes of the Commonwealth Business Forum has been formation of the ‘Commonwealth Business Women’, which was initiated by the Commonwealth Business Council, BPW International and British Association of Women Entrepreneurs. GRANT OPPORTUNITY – TCF Small Business Program Round 6 Applications & National Workshops If you are interested in the Textile Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Small Business Program TCF grant program please contact Ausindustry www.ausindustry.gov.au Closing date is Friday 25 February 2011, 5pm. Grants of up to $50,000 are available for each successful project and up to $2.5 million is available for projects in 2011/12. TCFWA / TCF Australia have TCF business consultants available that can assist you in your submission on a ‘fee for service’ basis.

Workshops to address new Award compliance
Changes to the TCF & Associated Industries Award and the National Employment Standard have prompted the Council of Textile Clothing and Footwear (TFIA) to organise three workshops for the industry in February. Failing to meet the minimum standards set by the Award is a breach of the law and may result in serious penalties. The workshops will take place in Melbourne and must be made by Friday 4th February 2011. for more information [email protected]
