TCF SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAM provides grants to improve the business enterprise culture of small businesses
is specifically aimed at TCF small businesses unable to receive assistance under the TCF (SIP) Scheme or the TCF Post-2005 (SIP) Scheme. It is competitive and merit-based with a maximum grant of $50,000 provided to each successful project. Funding of $2.5 million is available per year over a ten year period, commencing in 2006/07. POWERHOUSE MUSEUM INTERNATIONAL LACE AWARD: LOVE LACE
The award seeks to challenge conventional notions of lace and its application in the areas of fashion, the built environment and digital multi media. The work must be original and reflect the artist’s identity and cultural origins. The overall winner will be presented with $20,000 and there are five other prizes of $4,000 including an Australian and New Zealand student prize. SMART NEWS – IP AUSTRALIA: IP ENFORCEMENT AND CUSTOMS
Owners of intellectual property rights can choose to protect their IP by lodging documents requesting that Customs and Border Protection seize infringing goods at the border. Customs and Border Protection officers in Fremantle recently stopped more than 10,000 counterfeit Tiffany & Co. items from reaching the local market in Perth and being sold to unsuspecting consumers.
