FRANCHISING CODE OF CONDUCT
The Minister for Small Business, Independent Contractors and the Service Economy, the Hon Dr Craig Emerson MP, issued a media release outlining regulatory changes to the Franchising Code of Conduct which take effect from 1 July 2010. SENSIS ISSUES WARNING ABOUT YELLOW PAGES SCAM
fax being sent to Australian businesses from an international company posing as Yellow Pages® and asking for payment for “free submission to google.com.au”. If you are unsure the fax is legitimate you should contact Yellow Pages® on 13 23 78. Sensis alerts: do not confirm business details such as ABN, Business Owner & directors. The purpose of such sales scams appears to be to obtain sensitive business information and possibly to generate and accept payment for false bills for advertising space in non-existent directory products.
